The club was first formed in April 2003 and caters to those who have an interest in playing, or just listening to, guitar instrumental music.
While those with a mutual appreciation of THE SHADOWS founded the club, we warmly welcome those with an interest in any type of guitar instrumental music, including The Ventures, Chet Atkins, Duane Eddy, etc
Our current membership boasts non-professional through to currently gigging musicians, from all age groups. We particularly invite drummers, bass players and keyboard players, along with those who were part of the instrumental boom of the 60's who may have long downed tools but would like to re-kindle the flame.
The club currently meets on the 3rd Sunday of each month (1.00pm - 6.00pm in the auditorium of the Yagoona Greyhound Social Club. (Map Here)
For those that wish to play there are plenty of like minded musicians to perform with.
The atmosphere is always friendly and relaxed and an ideal forum for those with a passion for the era of the classic guitar instrumental.
The Club is supported by Bava's Music Liverpool. Mention the Sydney Shadows Club and this advertisement for a club discount. We also thank The Greyhound Club, Yagoona, Sydney, for their continuing support.
